Having connectivity issues with an iPhone 7 through Verizon? Apple released a fix

Verizon iPhone 7 users have been experiencing a few issues with their cellular coverage since the device was released, but Apple has now released an update that should clear up those problems.

Having connectivity issues with an iPhone 7 through Verizon? Apple released a fix

The update, which has the version number 10.0.3, is solely focused on fixing the connectivity issues for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, so don’t expect to see any other cool new features once your phone has updated. Pre-update, users were experiencing unexplained signal drops and issues with GPS.

It’s still not known exactly what was causing the issue, however iPhone 7 users began complaining last month that they were experiencing problems with their devices. It appears as though the glitch was related to how the phone interacted with the Verizon network, and some have theorized that the issue arose when the device had to transmit both voice and cellular data at the same time.
In any case, thankfully there’s now a fix, so if you’re a Verizon user who has been having cell signal issues with your iPhone 7 lately, go ahead and check for an update which should fix those problems.

It seems like every time a new version of iOS is released there are issues with it — even if sometimes those issues are rather small. Of course, that could be related to the scrutiny Apple is put under rather than to Apple being sloppy with its software releases. This isn’t even the first issue that was discovered with iOS 10 — when the operating system was first released, a flaw was discovered that saw people’s phones being bricked. That issue was quickly resolved, but not before plenty of users’ phones were rendered unusable. Thankfully, all the over-the-air updates released since then have resolved the issue, so you shouldn’t find yourself with a bricked phone.
